Edwin had invaluable perspective for us in our patent application. Most notably, he applied his experience in patent litigation to identify how our I.P. likely would be attacked in a dispute. With his help we were able to foreclose/narrow those avenues. It became increasingly obvious that the patenting process draws on very different (and potentially unsynchronized/unshared) areas of expertise: the technology itself, how to get a patent application approved and a patent issued, and defending against future litigation or other challenges/impairments. Edwin De Angel is SUCH a wealth of knowledge about the patent filing process!  He's equally comfortable with engineer-speak and the legal / regulatory / business compliance experts, and is awesome at helping guide inventors through the process of getting their idea protected and MONETIZED!

Before deciding to work with Edwin and his team, I spent a long time researching my options. When it comes to patenting, there are usually two types of firms: the very expensive ones that know what they’re doing, and the smaller, more affordable ones that don’t. Invention Matters is truly in a category of its own—they really know what they’re doing and charge a fair price for their services.
